We Are Here to Help

We recognize the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic and are committed to the safety of our associates, customers and communities. We know this has certainly impacted the manner in which we all conduct our daily lives. With that being said, it is important to remain calm and know that your deposits are safe with us.

With limited opportunities for social interactions, making each situation as positive as possible and bringing joy to the people you care about is more important than ever. We hope to support you in the days ahead by being a resource for tips and inspiration. Here are a few:

TIPS ON WORKING FROM HOME:

  • Get ready for work as usual.
    • Get dressed and ready as if you are going into the office. This helps you feel like you are at work, not at home.
  • Have a dedicated work space.
    • Having this space makes it easier to leave it when work is done for the day.
  • Give yourself a break.
    • Go for a walk, grab a cup of coffee or go make lunch.
ACTIVITIES TO DO AT HOME:

  • Deep-clean your house.
    • It will not only give you something to do and help fight the virus, but a clean environment helps improve your overall mental and physical health.
  • Order takeout or buy something online.
    • It’s more important than ever to support local businesses! Eating your favorite comfort food or enjoying a new outfit can do wonders.
  • Video call your friends and family, especially those you don’t hear from very often.
    • Reconnecting with parents, siblings and old friends will help ease the distance of isolation.
  • Take some time to do those tedious things you’ve been putting off.
    • Take the 2020 Census
    • Organize the file cabinet
    • Do that financial review
    • Complete your taxes
  • Dust off an old instrument, easel or sewing machine. Pick up old hobbies or start some new ones.
    • With work and family, lives can become too busy to focus on personal interests. But a quarantine is the perfect time to refocus on your passions.
  • Practice yoga, read a book, meditate or listen to music.
    • Turn off the news for a while and focus on positive emotions instead.
  • You’re allowed to go outside.
    • There’s an abundance of local outdoor recreational activities that can be enjoyed in a safe way: hiking, biking, running and even some no-contact outdoor sports.
  • Get creative with your little ones!
    • Encourage kids to draw, make music, write stories and play games.
    • Clear out the living room and set up a tent to have a campout.
    • Use pillows and cushions to make an obstacle course.
    • Have a hula-hoop or limbo competition.

Please take care of yourself and others. We are in this together!

All the best,
Your friends at NBC
