Our History
1934
The bank that would become NBC is chartered as Union National Bank of Superior, and opens for business.
1935
Union National Bank of Superior purchases the American Exchange Bank.
1940
Union National Bank of Superior changes their name to National Bank of Commerce.
1972
NBC purchases Poplar State Bank, establishing new branches in Poplar and Solon Springs.
1979
NBC begins construction on its flagship Superior location at 1127 Tower Avenue.
1998
In order to ensure future growth, NBC establishes a holding company — NATCOM Bancshares, Inc.
2000
NBC opens their first location outside Wisconsin at 1314 E Superior St in Duluth.
2003
NBC opens a Superior midtown location at 2822 Tower Ave.
2004
NBC opens a Hermantown location at 4105 Richard Ave.
2008
NBC purchases Community Bank, uniting the two banks and their staff.
2019
NBC welcomes Republic Bank, their staff and their customers to a local bank with the lending power to make even more possible.
